Salt Festival

Big Bone Lick State Historic Site
"Journey back in time as Big Bone Lick returns to days long past. The festival features demonstrations of pioneer living and skills, frontier ingenuity, traditions, and lifeways. Browse the crafter's corner to see the many handmade and hand-crafted items for sale and find lots of good eats at the food court. Enjoy folk and bluegrass music, listen to a storyteller, view prehistoric artifacts, and watch a blacksmith working red-hot iron. See how salt was extracted from the springs of Big Bone, watch a flintknapper make a stone point, and discover how bison hair is spun into yarn.
While visiting the park, be sure to drop by the park's museum and visitor center to see some of the "big bones"; a shuttle service will transport event-goers to and from the festival field, the visitor center, and the campground at regular intervals. Don't miss seeing the bison herd, the park's living link to the Ice Age."
Weber Family Pumpkin Festival

"This event began as the Minges Pumpkin Festival in 1984. Over the years it transformed from a small backyard gathering into an event that brings together thousands of people from all over the region to celebrate the fall season.
This is an annual event that always takes place the third full weekend in October. This event features live music, more than 150 arts and crafts exhibitors, food, live demonstrations, and many activities for the kids. The ultimate mission of this festival is to showcase different elements of the farm and encourage people to develop a connection with agriculture while bringing together the surrounding community to celebrate the fall season in a family friendly atmosphere."
